Reader’s Digest [Readers Digest] BrE NAmE
a US magazine, published each month, which is one of the most popular in the world. It was started in 1922 by DeWitt and Lila Wallace and is now read in 19 languages by more than 100 million people. It originally contained short versions of articles already published, but now has many written by its own journalists. The Reader’s Digest Association also sells books, music and other products.
