- a piece of paper which forms part of a book, magazine, etc: page

- one of the two surfaces of a piece of paper: side; one side of a piece of paper (especially in a book, etc, or when you are writing sth) page
Write on both sides of the paper. ◎ Just write one page, explaining your reasons for wanting the job. ◎ The picture is on page 4. ◎ a blank page (= with nothing written on it)
- the first/last page of a newspaper: front/back page
- the empty space at the side of a page: margin
Leave a margin on the left.
- the lower part of a page: foot, bottom
The details are at the foot of the page.
- the upper part of a page: top
Write your name at the top of the page.
- the number which is written on a page in a book, etc: page number
- when we want to write a page number, we can use the short form: p (plural pp)

- to look at the next page: turn (over) the page; to look at a previous page: turn back
If you turn the page you will see a photo of the writer. ◎ Turn back to page 20.
- if you want the reader to turn the page because there is some important information on the other side, you can write PTO at the foot of the page; this stands for 'please turn over'
